Big congratulations to all of today's winners but I would just like to single out an extra special congratulations to my fellow banker Joanne.

You absolutely deserved to win this recognition of the skill that you bring to the table, the effort that you invest, and even though I know that you are always busy with your clients that has never stopped you from always being ready to offer others a helping hand (and cake!).

I know how modest you are on here about your skills, qualifications and experience Joanne but now you know that your covers been blown and you know that we all see you for the star you are have your fifteen minutes in the sun honey buns.

You certainly had my nomination and vote and winning this shows that you also had many, many, many more.

I think that I speak for everyone here when I say huge congratulations Joanne, you are a true credit to the profession.

Shaun..

Oh my gosh, I am so overwhelmed, I can't believe I won. Thank you so much. Also, a big congratulations to the other winners and runners up. I promise, I will continue to live up to my award, and help as many fellow bookkeepers/accountants and the like on here as much as I can.

I wholeheartedly agree. Big congrats Joanne and a thoroughly deserved win.

Also congrats to all the other winners and runner ups, I think to even get in the Top 3 is an achievement in itself. There is a wealth of talent on here ready to help when asked and I've learnt a lot in the last couple of years I've been here.

Ive been trying to post on here since just after 4pm but have been inundated with calls. Im absolutely gobsmacked to have won this. I was amazed about being nominated and didnt think it would go this far, especially being up again the fabulous Shaun and Frauke.

Thank you so much for all the votes, I was so stunned that i have to admit that I got a bit emotional!

Well done to everyone else - all the other well deserved winners and all the runners up.

Ive said for a long time - I love this site, you help make the working day so much more interesting as well as providing so much useful information , a forum for debate and a place to have a laugh. You people make it that.

Such kind words from Shaun, john and Michelle will set me off again if you are not careful!

Lovely!

Thank you

Hi Shaun

Ive read this a few times and even shown it to a couple of old banker pals of mine that I went out with yesterday to celebrate with. They agreed with me that it was such a lovely thing for you to do, so I just wanted to say a separate thank you for your such kind words and frankly all your encouragement over the 3 years Ive been bookkeeping and on this site. So whilst this started as a hobby/something to keep me occupied for a few hours a week, Im looking now at a second fabulous career, thanks to your encouragement and the guys on here.

Thank you Mr M.

Oh wasnt this same spammer on the other day with a different forum name and Shaun gave her a chance to redeem herself by adding some info about her being an Accountant. You have to be a better spammer than that to get past our Mr Mod!

Do you delete the post entirely now then Shaun? Further upthread I see our good friend Alice had spammed, and thought she was up to her tricks again. Alas that was 2016

Cheers John,

some of them I leave in line if their removal affects the flow of a thread but mostly I just delete them now as there are so many of them. One day this week I banned three people in one thread! And with this one, I might not have noticed one of the spam comments that had been sitting at the end of the thread for some time if another muppet had not come along and added more spam to the same thread.

I've just gone back and deleted the Alice one that really had no place being here. Thanks for pointing that one out .... So three sperate spammers in this thread as well. no

Hope that you've had a good week and life is treating you well matey,

All the best,

Shaun.

I thought it was speltAWACS - something the RAF use. Also from America a bit like this spammer (apparently!). You arent a new member like your profile suggests - just a dumper of rubbish in in appropriate places. A fly tipper.

That one was (past tense) from the Netherlands... Don't think that we've had one of those before.

As for crypto currencies.... Tulip bulbs! (coincidence that the poster was from Holland!)
